How to Set Distance on Bumble App for iOS and Android

You can easily adjust Bumble distance settings by following these steps. These steps will work for both free and Bumble Premium users.

Step 1: Open Bumble and tap the customize icon at the top right corner.

Step 2: Scroll down to Distance and adjust the slider to change Bumble’s nearby distance.

Tip: It’s best to slide it to the extreme right for maximum coverage.

While you are at it, you can also enable ‘See people slightly further away if I run out.’ This will show people outside your set range if you run out of swiping people.

Adjust Bumble Distance Settings on Web

Besides the app, you can also access Bumble on a PC regardless of the browser you use. Here’s how to change the distance on Bumble web:

Step 1: Open Bumble using the link below and log in to your profile. After that, click your profile picture in the top right corner.

Step 2: Choose Settings from the sidebar and then adjust the distance slider.

How to Change Your Location on Bumble

As you may have noticed, there is a limit to the distance you can set in Bumble. If you want to meet people out of this set area, you must change your Bubmle location manually. Here’s how to do that.

On Android or iOS Device

Step 1: Open Bumble and tap the profile button at the bottom left corner to choose the profile picture.

Step 2: Select Edit profile and scroll down to choose Location under My basics.

Step 3: Choose the place of your choice. Repeat the same for Hometown.

Note: Despite changing Location or Hometown, Bumble will still use your GPS and mobile tower location to point your accurate location. The people will be shown based on this accurate location.

Manually Change Distance on Bumble Web

Log into Bumble from your browser using the link below and follow the following steps.

Open Bumble web

Step 1: Click your profile picture at the top right corner and choose Settings.

Step 2: Next, click the reset button below Location. If asked, give location permission to the browser.

This will change your current location to an updated one. Furthermore, you can also change the location under the My basics section. Here’s how:

Step 1: Choose Edit profile and then click My Basics.

Step 2: Next, choose ‘Add where I live.’

Step 3: Type and choose your place. Repeat the same for ‘Add where I’m from.’

Once you have made all the necessary changes, reload your browser to see new people on your feed.

Use Travel Mode in Bumble Premium

Bumble also provides a feature called Travel mode for its Premium users. With this feature, you can change your profile to travel mode before or during the trip to let the locals know you’re here for a limited time. Here’s how to enable it:

Step 1: Open Bumble > tap the profile button at the bottom right corner > tap the gear icon at the top right corner. On the new page, tap Travel.

Step 2: Tap ‘Use Travel Mode’ to confirm.

Step 3: Here, search and choose the location to Travel. Afterward, your profile will be shown in that particular region.

Note: Your Travel location will reset after a week. Hence, if you are inactive, you will be required to check back.

As of writing this guide, we could not find the options to enable Travel mode in Bumble web.

Adjust Bumble Distance Settings Using VPN

Besides the methods mentioned, you can adjust Bumble’s nearby distance using a VPN service. However, using a free VPN, we couldn’t fool around Bumble as it continued to show us the same people from the actual location.
